Overview of University Place School District
University
Place is a small community located west of Tacoma, with a population
of 30,500. It is contiguous to the city of Tacoma, the town of Fircrest,
the Puget Sound and Lakewood on the south. The community is located
45 minutes south of Seattle. The area is a desirable suburban residential
district and is served by several expanding shopping and service centers
located within its boundaries. The area is within an easy commute
of ocean beaches and the Cascade Mountains.

The mission of the University
Place School District, in partnership with our community, is to
develop competent, contributing citizens.
The University Place School
