Welcome to the home page of
the Board of Directors, University Place School District.
Organization.
The Board is organized in accordance with RCW 28A, the School Code
of the State of Washington. It is composed of five board members,
each serving 4-year elective terms of office. The board elects a
President, a Vice President, and a Legislative Representative. The
district superintendent serves as Board Secretary.
Governance. Under state law,
the board is responsible for all aspects of governance
for the district. Governance Responsibilities include:
Board Meetings. The board conducts
its business during regularly scheduled public meetings. Regular
meetings are scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month,
except for July, November and December, when the 2nd meeting of
the month is not held. Meetings start at 6:30pm.
